Hi everyone! Welcome to the Auchmar website!
The Auchmar Estate is located on nine acres at the northeast corner of Fennell Avenue and West 5th in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
It was built by Hon. Isaac Buchanan in 1852-54 and is the best-preserved property of its kind in Ontario.
It is now owned by the City of Hamilton and steps toward restoration have begun.

Nice start! Looking forward to following the development of the site. It’s beyond time to bring Auchmar to life. Dundurn is “nice” but Auchmar has CHARACTER and is a true gem of Canadian, not just Hamilton, architecture.
